Bio
King of Drag is the world’s first internationally televised all drag king reality competition series. Season 1 consisted of 6 one hour episodes that streamed on Sundays from June 22 to July 27, 2025 on the American LGBTQ+ streaming service Revry TV. It was produced by The Silo Studio and filmed at Electric Pony Studios in Los Angeles, California.
The show featured 10 American drag kings including: Alexander the Great, Big D, Buck Wylde, Charles Galin King, Dick Von Dyke, Henlo Bullfrog, King Molasses, Perka Sexxx, Pressure K, and Tuna Melt. The indomitable Murray Hill hosted the show and took King of Drag to great heights with his wit, charm and extensive experience. Each contestant was asked to bring Daring, Innovation, Creativity, and Charisma with a K to their challenges.
The opening animated sequence was by Erma Fiend and the theme song “KING” was by Frankie Simone. The winner received a custom suit by Sharpe Suiting, a custom crown and scepter by Fierce Drag Jewels, 1 year of e.l.f. cosmetics and e.l.f. skin, talent management with Queer Up Agency, a round trip flight to Seattle to headline the Emerald City Kings Ball, and $10,000 U.S. dollars. And the runner-up received a handmade wig, mustache, and facial hair set by Leedham Wigs of U.K.
Them named King of Drag, the first drag competition series to solely feature drag kings, as one of “The 10 Best LGBTQ+ TV Shows of 2025”.
MEET THE KINGS
Alexander the Great from Austin, TX
Alexander the Great is an international, award-winning, Aerial Acrobat Drag King based in Austin, Texas since 2015. He co-created Austin’s longest running King-centric show and troupe, the Boyz of Austin, and he is the only Drag King to host his own show every Friday Night in Austin’s Gay Downtown District. He is the first and only Trans Man and Drag King to hold the title of Mister Austin Pride 2022 and Mister Austin Entertainer of the Year 2023. This KING of DRAG has been conquering the world and invading our hearts since day one, and he is honored to be included in this historically monumental chapter for Drag Kings.
Big D from Bellingham, WA
Big D (aka Deanna Fleysher) is an internationally-renowned drag clown and interactive character comedian. Characters include Butt Kapinski, Vincent Prixx, Captain Afab, Peanut Butter, Ziggy Cupid Stardust Floyd Mellencamp and Dr. Melvin Schmuckler, among others since 2009. As well as performing in her own interactive comedy shows, D teaches workshops in clown, character comedy and drag king comedy, and directs/co-creates other artists’ solo shows.
Buck Wylde from Dallas, TX
Buck Wylde, a smooth Latin drag king whose teeth are sharper than a switchblade comb, began performing in 2011. Buck has been a long-time cast member of Mustache Envy, Texas’s longest running drag king-centric show, and producer of Dallas’ only all drag king brunch: Buck Wylde’s Sausage Party! He was named one of the “20 Drag Kings You Definitely Need To Know About” by Pride.com, and voted Best Drag King by the 2023, 2024 Dallas Entertainment Awards, 2025 Dallas Observer and 2024, 2026 Dallas Voice Awards. In 2025 Buck became the first drag king to perform a full weekend slot at Dallas’ legendary Rose Room. Buck has been a recurring guest teacher in the Women and Gender Studies’ “The Queer Art of Drag” class at Texas Christian University and has had the honor of being one of “The First Ten” contestants on season one of Revry’s groundbreaking reality competition series, King of Drag, bringing drag to a wider audience one can of pomade at a time.
Charles Galin King from Los Angeles, CA
Charles Galin King brings the weird, creepiness and warmth to the stagessss from 2012 to today. A creature of facial expressions from being born and raised in East Los Angeles,California has brought him honor and joy in their existence and culture. They were a shy, reserved and at times isolated themselves as a child then cinema and theatre approached. With acquiring an Associates Arts Degree from The East Los Angeles Community College Theater department, they are constantly learning every day thanks to the universe. Tlazcamati [muchas gracias]!
Dick Von Dyke from Minneapolis, MN
Dick Von Dyke (he/him/hey girl) ~ From the moment Dick first put on the ‘stache in 2014, he could feel the Big DVD Energy. Growing up as a musical theater fan, he found drag as a means to cast himself in the roles he never thought he was “allowed” to play. His first Dick-move was in St. Louis; as a co-host of the weekly all-dude revue, MANic Monday. He then spread his seeds of love at Missie B’s in Kansas City, before man-spreading where he now resides, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. An accomplished musician and emcee, Dick has been dazzling audiences and giving out Dick Pics in over a dozen different cities across the Midwest. These days, you can catch him at Lush Lounge & Theater, the Black Hart of St Paul, and with Flip Phone and other events around the Cities, where he has fully grown into the Midwest Prince he is today.
Henlo Bullfrog from Philadelphia, PA
Henlo Bullfrog is a stagecraft cryptid who has haunted the streets of Philadelphia, PA since 2018. His airbrush, FX, and fabrication work has appeared on Drag Race, Dragula, Netflix, Buzzfeed Video, Cats: The Jellicle Ball, Skin Wars: Fresh Paint and beyond. Henlo expresses his belief in surprising storytelling, drag engineering, and that everyone is welcome in the kingdom, not just on stages across the country, but in co-teaching the Be A King class series.
King Molasses from Washington, D.C.
King Molasses (They/them) is an award-winning drag king and performing artist in Washington, D.C. who began their drag career in 2017. They consecutively reigned as DC’s Best Drag King from 2022 through 2025 and have been featured on Bravo, The Washington Post, Good Morning America, and NPR. Their drag is a call to mindfulness, black surrealism, and heritage-based movements that dare to create images of self-liberation.
King Perka $exxx from Charlotte, N.C.
King Perka $exxx (he/him) is an Atlanta-made drag king who’s here to bring you comedy, social commentary, and dad jokes galore. As a member of the first ever cast of the all drag king competition King of Drag and the show’s first Mr. Congeniality, King Perka is taking the stage by storm, coast to coast!
He’s headlined the Emerald City Kings Ball, the Austin International Drag Festival, the Hostess City Hoedown in Savannah, and has even graced the stage for San Francisco’s Oaklash drag festival. Follow him on Instagram at @thekingperka to catch his next show!
Pressure K from Atlanta, GA
Pressure K is an electrifying drag king hailing from East Atlanta, known for his smooth performances and high-energy stage presence. Blending classic Atlanta rap with sultry R&B hits, he captivates audiences with his unique mix of music, charisma, and sensuality since 2022. A powerful advocate for inclusive spaces for POC entertainers, Pressure K is a force both on and off the stage. With numerous accolades and a reputation for crowd-pleasing performances, he continues to elevate the drag king scene.
Tuna Melt from Queens, NY
Tuna Melt debuted as a drag king in the iconic Takes the Cake competition in New York City in August of 2021. The stage built by the historic Cakes Boys catapulted Tuna into existence when he placed as the competition’s runner up, second to the legendary rockstar Drag Thing Klondyke. He is known for his business acumen from prior experience at YouTube Music (Google) and for having a bold and unapologetic voice in the community. His signature drag includes live singing, rapping, and a phoenix in the palm of his hands. He left corporate America to serve his higher purpose and advocate for transgender equality in media and entertainment.
EPISODE 1 – “Battle of the Boy Bands” aired June 22, 2025
We first see the Kings emerge tearing through a King of Drag banner. Memorable moments: Pressure K on the phone saying “the price has went up”. The three Latin Kings, Buck Wylde, Charles Galin King and Tuna Melt, meeting, dancing and proclaiming themselves as “The Primos”.
WEENIE CHALLENGE:
- Sports trading card-themed photoshoot by Maxwell Poth. The Kings grabbed sports gear to wear while they posed for the camera. The viewers begin to see the kindness and camaraderie between the Kings when they help one another select sports gear for this competition.

- Create and perform together in your own boy band show. Weenie challenge winners Charles Galin King and King Molasses picked their teams. King Molasses, the blue team, chose Pressure K, Henlo Bullfrog, Dick Von Dyke, and King Perka $exxx. And Charles Galin King, the green team, chose Tuna Melt, Alexander the Great, Buck Wylde, and Big D.
- The Kings had 90 minutes to write a verse, record a verse and create choreography. Charles Galin King’s team, The Bromosexuals, were first up followed by The Blue Ballers, King Molasses’ team.

EPISODE 2 – “The Dong Show” aired on June 29, 2025
We see the Kings enter the man cave to set up make-up stations and exchange pronouns.
WEENIE CHALLENGE:
- This challenge was improv comedy where teams of three mansplained a randomly selected complex topic. The first team was Alexander the Great, Henlo Bullfrog, and Buck Wylde named “Well..Actually” mansplaining what happened to Amelia Earhart. The second team was Perka $exxx, Pressure K, and Dick Von Dyke named “Dr Brillliant” (with three l’s) mansplaining the higgs boson particle theory. The third team was Big D, King Molasses, and Charles Galin King named “The Religion” mansplaining what is the secret to eternal life.

- “The Dong Show”: King of Drag’s celebrity impersonation talent show. Each contestant was required to do a celebrity impersonation and perform a talent show act which was open to interpretation. They had 2 hours to prepare for this challenge.
- Buck Wylde portrayed the Devil making salsa; Alexander the Great portrayed Justin Bieber tap dancing; Big D portrayed Sylvester Stallone folding a sheet; Dick Von Dyke portrayed Steve Irwin playing the french horn; Henlo Bullfrog portrayed Jack Black playing the trombone with his feet; King Molasses portrayed Ira Glass doing push ups; Charles Galin King portrayed Nosferatu reciting poetry; Perka $exx portrayed Steve Urkel transforming into a hedgehog; Pressure K portrayed Rick Ross ribbon dancing.

The Kings arrive at the man cave with things going awry, horror has settled in.

- Beau and the Beast: Makeup looks that are half glamor, half monster where the Kings were required to exclusively use e.l.f. Cosmetics in 45 minutes.

- Dress and perform as your greatest fear. The Kings were asked to conjure a look and performance inspired by what scares them the most. And this challenge was a double elimination adding more fear to the day.

Final Thrust Challenge: The Blair Butch Project: Film a death scene in the style of a found footage horror movie. Each King faces their own demise filming themselves in a larger than life death scene.

EPISODE 4 – “Prom Night” aired on July 13, 2025
The Kings enter the man cave set up as a classroom with Drag King History T-shirts for each of them to wear as uniforms.
WEENIE CHALLENGE:
- Drag King History: Answer first in teams and then individually to win. The Kings randomly created two teams: School Boy Crush (Dick Von Dyke, Big D, Perka $exxx) and Homework Hunks (Charles Galin King, Henlo Bullfrog, King Molasses). Drag King History Executive Director and Co-Founder Mo B. Dick challenged them with a pop quiz. Homework Hunks made it to the final round where King Molasses and Charles Galin King competed for the win.

- Serve the best look under the theme “Nautical Night” and create and memorize a 1-minute speech to recite on stage why you are Prom King.

EPISODE 5 –“A Song for the King” aired on July 20, 2025
The Kings enter the man cave bewildered with wig stands on their carts.
WEENIE CHALLENGE:
- Rock star makeover: style a wig and give an air guitar performance. The Kings were tasked to exclusively use wigs courtesy of Outfitter Wigs and e.l.f. Cosmetics to create rock star looks in 1 hour.
Weenie Challenge Judge: Tenderoni
Weenie Challenge Prizes: The winner won a $400 Levi’s shopping spree and e.l.f. Cosmetics. The remaining Kings each won a $175 Levi’s gift card and an assortment of e.l.f. cosmetics and skincare.

BEEFY CHALLENGE:
- DIY a look from unconventional materials from Remainders Creative Reuse and choreograph a lip sync performance to “Good Boy” by ARXX. The Kings went on a 15 minute shopping spree to Remainders Creative Reuse, a thrift store for creative reuse then they had 24 hours to make their looks. And there was another double elimination this week.

EPISODE 6 – “Showbiz” aired on July 27, 2025
The seven eliminated Kings returned to the stage dressed as Murray Hill for a sit down to spill the T with Murray. Tuna Melt created the Tuna Can Van which became a big hit for the eliminated Kings to explore Los Angeles together.
BEEFIE CHALLENGE:
- Best Drag Performance: three minutes to perform. The three finalists: King Molasses, Dick Von Dyke and Henlo Bullfrog battle it out in the first of two final challenges. The Kings present three minutes of performance of their own choosing. First up was Henlo Bullfrog performing their origin story “The Ballad of Henlo Bullfrog” with original lyrics written by their father. Second up was Dick Von Dyke doing stand-up comedy “Unforgettable Experience”. Last up was King Molasses lip syncing to “Got Me Loose”.
